Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss Works With Kristen Stewart: Intimidated Much?

Amy Adams may have been slightly intimidated by Kristen Stewart's young age when they were making On The Road.

So did their other costar, Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss, feel the same way about Ms. Stewart?

Read on to find out.

"She's super nice," Moss told me about K.Stew at this week's Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual grant-giving luncheon. "She's really so normal and so nice. I was probably more intimidated by Amy Adams because she's like my favorite actress in the world. So everybody was just intimidated by everybody else."

Moss insists she doesn't feel too much pressure being a part of the movie adaptation of Jack Keoruac's Beat Generation classic. "The great thing is it's not on me," she said. "You know what I mean? It's not my responsibility but who they chose to adapt it and who they chose to be in it and who they chose to direct."

Directed by Walter Salles, the indie also stars Garrett Hedlund (swoon!), Sam Riley and Kirsten Dunst, among many others.

No surprise, but Moss is psyched to see Stewart as Snow White. "I think it's perfect," she gushed. "It's a great idea. I think she's going to be great."

In his excellent new Kindle essay, "Comic-Con Strikes Again," Douglas Wolk observed "that showing up at Comic-Con and impressing ultra-fans has become an obligation for everyone who works on anything that has fans. If your company is launching a big fantasy film or sci-fi TV series of massively multiplayer video game in the next year, you have to be there. No way around it.” But now that the dust has settled from this year’s Comic-Con and said fans been sated, the question remains: Who won Comic-Con?


Among the non-superhero movies, the Comic-Con effect was actually even more pronounced. Snow White and the Huntsman saw a 3,466% spike in interest after its Saturday panel, making it the Anticipation Index's Most Improved for the weekend … but since then, it's lost more than 98% of its buzz, sending it down to number 48. Soderbergh's Haywire debuted a trailer at the convention, and saw a 2,476% spike as a result (down almost 98% now), and Nicholas Refn's Drive shot up 1,388% after director Nicholas Winding Refn's panel discussion and the release of the film's trailer. Drive is now down 95% and out of the Anticipation Index top 50; a little worrisome, given that it comes out next month.


So, what can we conclude? Though both Amazing Spider-Man and Avengers saw big drops in their buzz in just the two weeks since Comic-Con (95% and 89% respectively), they still remain near the top of the Index, and neither is coming out until the middle of next year. They have a strong foothold in the public consciousness, which Comic-Con boosted.


More surprising was the impressive showing of Snow White and the Huntsman, which does come with a brand name and news-making, well-respected actors -- Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Eddie Izzard, and Ian McShane -- but no superheroes. The film has been at the center of a rivalry with Tarsem Singh's unnamed Snow White film, which is currently scheduled to come out a mere two-and-a-half months before Huntsman. Huntsman may have settled back from its Comic-Con high, but it has a whole year to gain momentum, and with a solid cast and a rock solid rivalry to play on, it will. 


Winner: Snow White and the Huntsman.

Taylor Lautner will be friends with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson "forever".
The hunky actor - who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the 'Twilight Saga'franchise - revealed the best thing about being a part of the movie series was getting to know Kristen (Bella Swan) and Robert (Edward Cullen) and says the three of them will always remain close.
He told Hollywoodlife "My parting gifts were our friendships, lifelong friendships. We all get along great. We're definitely going to continue spending time together. Whether we're promoting these movies or whatever.
"There were tears on the last days, from everyone. I was the one who predicted it was actually going to be emotional on the last day."
Taylor has previously revealed he had mixed emotions about the end of the franchise.
He said: "I think it's mixed emotions, for sure.
"Half of me says, 'This is a relief. I get some time off, I get to spend some time with family and friends and do other things,' but the other half says, 'This is so weird.' I've been filming with these people for years, so it's definitely a bummer."

New Robert and Kristen Comic Con Video Interview with Accidental Sexiness

No matter how many years you attend San Diego Comic Con, I don’t think you are ever truly prepared for the whirlwind that it is! I had the pleasure to team up with Telemundo and LatinoReview.com this year to maximize our coverage and bring you some great things like this interview reel from the The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 press line on day 1 of the con.

But before I delve into my experience in covering this specific movie I want to let you guys know how privileged I felt to be able to take part in one of the hottest tickets in San Diego. Fans wanting to participate in the official panel had been lined up for at least two days outside of Hall H!

So the mere fact that I had face time with the likes of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Boo Boo Stewart and famed director Bill Condon was a huge highlight.

The first thing that needs to be said is how lovely each and everyone of the talent were and not so much the way they are perceived by some media. There have been stories about Kristen specifically about how she is with the press so I was a little nervous to talk to her.

But after our interaction I have become a huge fan of hers for being so humble and sweet….which I think people begun translating as awkward at some point. I will be the first to say that I have been at fault for such a thing but never again!

Kristen, Robert and Taylor are three of the biggest stars in the WORLD right now and it was quite surprising to see how “normal” they were. It can’t be easy to have been thrust into such fame so fast but I think they do quite well in handling it all.

So without further ado, here is my interview with (most of) the cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and don’t forget to catch it on the big screen, November 18th, 2011.

Kristen Stewart: Laid back and lovely at Comic-Con

If there is one event where it is completely appropriate to go casual, it is Comic Con. So, we were not surprised when Kristen stuck to jeans and tees for the event. Even though she wore her usual basics, she did manage to spice things up a bit. For her first panel (which showcased ‘Breaking Dawn’ ), Kristen wore a few of her staple brands: 7 For All Man Kind skinny jeans and black hightop Converse sneakers. She did, however go a little racy with her 60′s inspired sheer, cropped-top by Market T’s. For her second panel (where we were lucky enough to get a first look at Kristen as ‘Snow White’), Kristen went with another pair of 7 jeans, but opted to mix up her shoe choice with a pair of 2-toned lace-up oxfords. We appreciated the nice change from her usual sneakers. She paired them with an adorable ‘Blood is the New Black’ Metal Bears Distressed Tank Top from Urban Outfitters.

3. First Look at Universal’s SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN

Granted, there are enough Snow White projects currently circulating Hollywood that over-saturation is less a possibility and more an inevitability. Nevertheless, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t at least a little intrigued by the grittiness and slightly darker tone that director Rupert Sanders’ Snow White and the Huntsman looks to embody.Click here to check out the first look at the film along with Adam’s recap of its Comic-Con panel.

K. Stew LOVES Bella Swan's Carolina Herrera Wedding Dress

Confession: I'm not into Twilight. Never have been, probably never will be. That said, I am a sucker for a good love story and a gorgeous designer wedding gown, so I will probably catch up on the rest of the Twilight saga in time to see Bella and Edward tie the knot when Breaking Dawn hits theaters.
In what will be the third-most anticipated wedding of the year (sorry Bella, you come behind the Kates), Bella Swan will wear a gown designed by Carolina Herrera -- and that's pretty much all we know at this point. They are keeping the dress' details locked up, and even the nosiest of fashion people haven't gotten a glimpse of the sure-to-be-famous frock.

One thing we do know is that Kristen Stewart really, really loves the gown, and she's no stranger to good design: she was featured alongside Jack and Laz of Proenza Schouler in Vogue as their muse. Although the crew kept the actress completely covered up between takes so that no photos would leak, she spilled a minimal amount of informationabout its design, revealing,"the dress was tight, it was so tight... I really liked it. It was very pretty."

Re-casting The Runaways

If I were to re-cast "The Runaways" movie, which Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning starred, may be longtime ago in movie memory. 


Dakota Fanning as Cherie Curry was too G-rated, Disney type of girl.  Cherry Bomb was naughty, jail-fuck-n-bait; hence the corset and garter lingerie worn on stage at the age of 15.  Kristen Stewart I must say was Joan Jett on the screen for me.  I had a girl crush on her for minute in this movie.  However, the gritty love of rock and roll was too rated PG-13 compared to what the 70's rock scene was like in L.A., so maybe it's not the casting but the director/producing of the movie.  

Also, check out The Runaways: “Take It Or Leave It: A Tribute To The Original Queens of Noise, 2-disc tribute to The Runaways, with The Donnas covering "Queens of Noise".  A percent of the proceeds go to cancer research; in which Sandy West lost her battle with cancer in 2006.  

Hollywood, Bollywood, or even Nollywood, please make a REAL movie about the Runaways - "The First All Girl Band!"

Kristen Stewart Excited For "Snow White and The Huntsman"

In between the two “Breaking Dawn” movies, you’ll see Kristen Stewart starring as the title character in “Snow White and the Huntsman.”  (Kristen, of course, will be Snow White, not the Huntsman.)  When you think of Snow White, it’s not exactly the edgy kind of character you associate with Kristen these days… or is it?

She’s talking about director Rupert Sanders there… Kristen will be starring alongside Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron in the movie, which opens in theaters everywhere next June 1st.
